From the Onondaga's centennial, volume 2, page 424:576
        Evert Seager was a private in Co. John Harper's regiment of New York militia in the Revolution in 1780.

Evert was a witness along with Josyna Aartsier at Albany for the 21 Jan 1741 baptism of Hendrik, son of Evert and Marytje Wielaar.

On 21 Apr 1744 Evert married Sara Archer (41437) , daughter of Thomas Archer (bef 1700-) & Marietje Wheeler (30461) (ca 1698-), in Reformed Dutch Church of Albany.371 Evert Zeger, y.m., & Zara Aarscherd, y.d. Born ca 1726. Sara was baptized in Reformed Dutch Church of Albany, on 16 Feb 1726.371 Sara, daughter of Tho. & Mary Archel, witnesses George & Helena Wilson.

Sara, also spelled Zara, Orchard, or Archer, also spelled Orchert or Aarscherd and a variety of other spellings. Her sister Josina married Jacob Cooper.

Evert and Sara were witnesses for the baptism

Born ca 1733 in Germantown, Columbia Co., NY. Elisabeth was baptized on 3 May 1733. Elisabeth died in Sep 1757 in Albany, NY. Buried on 2 Sep 1757.528

In his will dated March 1, 1809, Thomas Seger mentions only his daughters Catherine Dole and Bridget Courtney (half sisters), which indicates that his 2nd wife Judith Hogeland, whom he married January 12, 1757, and his sons John and Adrian Hogeland Seger, were deceased. He died March 25, 1809, and his will was probated April 19, 1809.

Thomas Seger, j. m., born in Albanie, and Seintje Wieler, j. d., born in Kinderhoek, and both resid. under the jurisdiction of Horli (Hurley). Banns registered by Domine Manciu. Born ca 1725 in Kinderhook, Columbia Co., NY. Josina was baptized in Kinderhook, Columbia Co., NY, on 27 Apr 1725. Witnesses Mareten Vosburg & Ita Vosburg. Josina died in Sep 1753. Buried on 13 Sep 1753 in Albany, Albany County, NY.528
