Recitation 3: Artwork Critiques

Preparation

Please watch this video about “How to Critique Art”.

At Recitation

You should:

1. Show your artwork to the class.
2. Explain your artwork:
   • How does it go beyond what was described in lab (e.g., what are the creative changes you made)?
   • What do you like about your artwork?
   • What additional changes would you like to make?
3. Ask the class and TAs for their critiques.
   • Note: You don’t have to make any of these changes, since it’s your artwork. However, if you hear good ideas, you should strongly consider incorporating them.

Submit a short paragraph via Moodle:

• If you attended recitation:
  • Summarize the critiques you received, and describe any changes you made after hearing the critiques.
• If you did not attend recitation, explain your artwork:
  • How does it go beyond what was described in lab (e.g., what are the creative changes you made)?
  • What do you like about your artwork?
  • What additional changes would you like to make?
