On 30 Nov 1819 when Samuel was 31, he first married Harriet Torrey (52737) , daughter of James Torrey (35876) (15 Jan 1755-25 Apr 1820) & Eunice Turner (56691) (9 Jun 1758-30 Apr 1818), in Scituate, MA.52 Born on 1 Apr 1795 in Scituate, MA.52 Harriet died in Scituate, MA, on 23 Jan 1821; she was 25.52

Harriet died age 26.

On 5 Oct 1828 when Samuel was 40, he second married Lydia Turner (63023) , daughter of Elisha Turner (55471) (17 Jun 1767-2 Jun 1825) & Lydia Holden (2 Feb 1771-5 Mar 1839).52 Born on 19 Sep 1795 in Dorchester, MA. Buried in South Parish Cemetery, Norwell.

(There were two contemporary Lydia Turners in Scituate, both daughters of Elisha and Lydia Turners, and both married Samuel Turners. This one was the daughter of Elisha and Lydia (Holden) Turner, and she married Samuel Turner, son of Israel and Mercy (Oakman) Turner, in 1828 as his second wife. This other Lydia was the daughter of Elisha and Lydia (Briggs) Turner, and she married Samuel Adams Turner, son of Charles and Hannah (Jacob) Turner, in 1814.)

Although Samuel and Lydia shared the surname Turner, they were only remotely related.

In the vital records,52 Charles’ birth record calls him Quintus Carolus.

Quintus Carolus Turner, of Scituate, by special act of the legislature in 26 Feb 2011 became known as Charles Henry Turner.

On 20 May 1829 when Deborah was 39, she second married Timothy Foster (58295) , son of John Foster (46327) (25 Mar 1740-Dec 1815) & Sarah Jacob (48542) (14 May 1741-10 Mar 1788), in Scituate, MA.52 Born on 3 Dec 1775 in Scituate, MA.52 Timothy died in Scituate, MA, on 28 Apr 1854; he was 78.

Timothy first married Hannah Clap, second Deborah (Turner) Turner, widow of Charles Turner.

Timothy resided on the lands laid out to Edward Foster in 1636.53
