Lydia first married Dr. Hezekiah Phelps (20857) , son of Lieut. Samuel Phelps (8481) (29 Jan 1675-bef 1749) & Abigail Eno (1 Mar 1686/7-25 Dec 1749). Born ca 1725 in Windsor, CT. Hezekiah died on 9 Jun 1752 in Windsor, CT.118 Education: Yale.

(#190) Dr. Hezekiah Phelps, b. Windsor, Ct., about 1725, m. Lydia Griswold, (daughter of Samuel and 2nd wife Elizabeth (Gaylord) Griswold), b. Windsor, Ct., 17 Dec, 1722. Dr. Phelps graduated at Yale, studied medicine and practiced in Windsor, Ct. He died there 9 June, 1752. His will, dated 7 July, 1752, mentions his wife Lydia and daughter Lydia only. (The Griswold record says he had one son–probably a mistake).

After the death of Dr. Phelps, his widow, Lydia, m. Dr. Hezekiah Chaffee, who practiced and died in Windsor, Ct. By him she had:
Hezekiah (Chaffee), b. 12 Aug., 1758.
Mary (Chaffee), b. 28 July, 1760, m. Capt. John Hooker,
Hezekiah (Chaffee), b. 21 Mar., 1760, m. twice.
Esther (Chaffee), b. 24 Apr., 1765, m. Capt. McLean.
John (Chaffee), b. 22 Feb., 1767, m, Mary Rowland.
Dr. Chaffee died 1 Oct., 1801, aged 79 years.
Lydia second married Dr. Hezekiah Chaffe. Born ca 1723. Hezekiah died on 1 Oct 1801.260
