iii. Phineas Alling, b. 5 Oct 1754, m. 1st Rebecca Alling (b. 9 Oct 1749 at New Haven, d. Dec 1777, dau. of Jonathan & Amy (Beecher) Alling), is said to have lived in New YOrk State and have married twice more.59,6
On 12 Jan 1748/9 when Rhoda was 21, she married David Alling (27723) , son of Nathan Alling (17094) (8 Mar 1695/6-24 Oct 1774) & Hannah Todd (14052) (20 Feb 1702-26 Oct 1771), in New Haven, CT.60 Born on 2 Feb 1723/4 in New Haven, CT.60 At the age of 1, David was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 26 Dec 1725.59 David died in Canaan, CT, on 22 Apr 1794; he was 70.59
