On 9 Nov 1775 when Patience was 19, she married John Doolittle (33514) , son of Daniel Doolittle (19115) (3 Feb 1707-Sep 1791) & Elizabeth Dayton (23081) (25 Sep 1711-bef Nov 1775), in Wallingford, CT.76 Born on 15 Jan 1746/7 in Wallingford, CT.76 John died in Wallingford, CT, on 26 Jan 1828; he was 81.59 Buried in Center St. Cem., Wallingford.

John was probably in the Rovolution May 6 to Dec 20 1775, being at the siege of Boston under Capt. Benedict Arnold.333

John served in Capt. Benedict Arnold’s Co., 1st Regt., at the siege of Boston, 1775; was a member of Capt. Abraham Stanley’s Co. which marched to New Haven at the time of Tryon’s Invasion, 5 Jul 1779, and to Fairfield, 8 July 1779.6
