On 4 Feb 1725 when Mary was 17, she married Capt. Richard Hart, son of Richard Hart (ca 1667-) & Hannah Williams, in Tiverton, MA (now RI).³⁴⁵ Born on 22 Dec 1704 in Little Compton, MA (now RI).^345,256 Richard died in Little Compton, RI, on 22 Jul 1792; he was 87.

Richard first married Mary Taber, second Abigail (Lake) Taber, widow of John Taber.
