On 16 Jul 1743 Elizabeth married Jacob Van Tassel (31063) , son of Cornelis Van Tassel (16842) (7 Jan 1668-) & Wyntje Herrickse Cranckheyt (17379) (ca Mar 1684-), in Sleepy Hollow Reformed Church.369 “Jacobus Van Thexel, j.m., and Eliezabeth Fosuur, j.d. Both b. and l. in Philips Burgh”. Born on 13 Jul 1720 in Philipsburgh, Westchester Co., NY.495 Jacob was baptized in Sleepy Hollow Reformed Church, on 31 Aug 1720.369 Jacob, son of Cornelis and Wyntie Van Texel, witnesses Steven Ecker & Annatie Storm [Cornelis’s neice by his first wife]. Jacob died bet 1815 and 1821 in Salina, Onondaga Co., NY.
Jacob (James or Jacobus) Van Tassel. Jacob enlisted in the French War on 20 Apr 1758 in Capt. Jonatahan Fowler’s Weschester Company. He was 5’6” tall with blue eyes and a round face. Jacob resided in Salina.
The town of Salina was formed from parts of Manlius and Marcellus in 1809. At that time it surrounded Onondaga Lake included what’s now the city of Syracuse and the town of Geddes which were formed in the late 1840s.
His will was dated 25 Mar 1815, Salina, Onondaga County, probated 27 Aug 1821, his wife Elizabeth was named executor, with witnesses Daniel Gilbert, John Q. Mang, and Christian Alsenbintze.377
Jacobus and his sister Zara were witnesses at the 1738 baptism of their neice Zara, daughter of Frans & Maritie (Van Tassel) de Peu.

On 21 Dec 1754 Eva married Johannis Hustiens in Sleepy Hollow Reformed Church.369 Johannis Hustiens, j.m, b. on Langh Iland, and Eva Fosie, j.d., b. in Philpsburgh, both l. here. Born in Long Island.
