Will: John Platt’ will, of Norwalk, dated 22 Dec 1770, proved 20 Aug 1771. Inventory totaled £22:10:6. “In the Name of God Amen. I John Platt of Norwalk in the County of Fairfield and Colony of Connecticut, being weak in Body but of sound mind & memory (blessed be God) do this 22d Day of December Anno Domini 1770, make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following. Viz. Imprimis. I give and bequeath unto my well-beloved Wife Sarah all my household furniture that is in my house.”
On 18 Mar 1727/8 when John was 25, he married Sarah Hickock (19592) , daughter of Samuel Hickock (7765) (ca 1668-3 Jun 1713) & Elizabeth Plumb (13392) (1 Nov 1669-17 Oct 1749), in Norwalk, CT. Born on 6 Dec 1707 in Waterbury, CT.233 Sarah died aft 1771.
