Is this correct? Was the Abigail King who married Amos Foster in 1749 the daughter of Johnathan & Sarah (Cook) King, or was she Abigail King, b. 1700 dau. of William & Hannah, the Abigail King who married Amos Foster? According to her tombstone, she was 71 when she died, so her birth would have been about 1706/7, not 1700. Perhaps the Abigail who married Amos was a widow Abigail King. After all, she was about 42 when whe married, and it was Amos’s second marriage. Her tombstone doesn’t have her maiden name on it.
On 10 Dec 1778 when Amos was 68, he third married Mary [Cook] in New Salem, MA.399 Born ca 1722. Mary died on 28 Nov 1785 in New Salem, MA.399 Buried in Center Cemetery, New Salem.
Mary first married James Cook, second Amos Foster.
Was Mary’s surname Wheeler?
