    iii. Samuel Jones, b. 25 Aug 1742, m. 1st 20 Feb 1779 his step-sister Sarah Pratt (b. 27 Apr 1767, d. 7 Sep 1818, dau. of John & Mary (Hall) Pratt of Harvard), m. 2nd 20 Mar 1819 Mrs Mercy Haskell (d. 1845 at Leominster, MA);

On 10 Nov 1738 (int.) when Hannah was 23, she married Lieut. David Jones (29094) , son of Hugh Jones (15504) (ca 1683-ca 1770) & Hannah Wilson (20680) (24 Dec 1688-).356 Born on 27 Jul 1716 in Woburn, MA.126 David died in Lancaster, MA, on 20 Jan 1795; he was 78.

From Bartlett’s article “Hugh Jones of Salem”:356
    “Lieut. David^3 Jones, born in Woburn, July 27, 1716, went to Dracut with his parents in 1733, and lived there and in the adjoining town of Pelham, N. H., nearly fifty yearas; but on Jan. 17, 1781, he bought of Elisha white a large improved farm in Lancaster, whither he removed and lived until his death, Jan. 20, 1795. (Worcester Co. Deeds, vol. lxxxviii, fol. 115.) He served as sergeant from Apr. 13 to Nov. 11, 1758, in the company commanded by capt. Ebenezer Jones, afterwards by Capt. Isaac Osgood, in a Crown Point expedition. (Mass. Archives, vol. xcvii, p. 208.) In the Revolution, he served as lieuteant in Capt. Joseph B. Varnum’s company, Col. Jonathan Reed’s regiment, from Sept. 29 to Oct. 29, 1777, sent to reinforce Gen. Gates’s army at Saratoga, and was present at Burgoyne’s surrender. (Mass. Archives.) No probate records appear of him, as on Sept. 20, 1784, he conveyed all his estate to his son Samuel. (Worcester Co. Deeds, vol. cxxx, fol. 502.)”

6280. Dea. Daniel Fox. Born on 8 Feb 1722/3 in Dracut, MA.356 Daniel died in Dracut, MA, on 20 Sep 1769; he was 46.356

On 7 Mar 1746/7 (int.) when Daniel was 24, he first married Mary Jones (29098) , daughter of Hugh Jones (15504) (ca 1683-ca 1770) & Hannah Wilson (20680) (24 Dec 1688-).356 Born on 11 May 1725 in Woburn, MA.126 Mary died ca 1758.356

On 18 Oct 1760 (int.) when Daniel was 37, he second married Mary [Durin].356 Mary died on 22 Dec 1761.356

On 30 Sep 1765 (int.) when Daniel was 42, he third married Ruth [Jaquith].356
