5067. Joseph Whiston. Born ca 1641 in Scituate, MA. Joseph died bef 31 Oct 1666 in Boston, MA.18

Joseph “married the daughter of William Brooks. We notice in the Colony Records the following entry: ‘1665, Joseph Whiston is authorized to sell lands for the use of his brothers, and sisters, with the help of his father in law, William Brooks, and his uncle Edward Jenkins.’ His father, of course, had deceased about this time. Joseph probably removed to Boston, as we find few traces of him after this date.”56

Joseph died unmarried.18

5068. Sarah Whiston. Born ca 1643 in Scituate, MA.

On 25 May 1663 Sarah married Thomas Nichols, son of Thomas Nichols (-8 Nov 1696) & Rebecca Josselyn (ca 1617-22 Sep 1675), in Scituate, MA.90 Born ca 1643. Thomas was baptized in Hingham, MA, in Jan 1643/4.50

Thomas succeeded to his father’s lands in Scituate.56

“John was the second son [of John], born as early as 1647... John, jr. was a freeman 1660. He left children, Mercy born 1678, Abigail 1680, Joseph 1683, John 1686, Susanna 1688. HIs farm was west of the Church burying hill, and his house twenty rods south of Capt. Joseph Sylvester’s.”56

On 2 May 1671 Susanna married Thomas Perry (3580) , son of William Perry (-ca 1695) & Susanna Carver (1435) (ca 1618-aft 23 Jun 1674), in Scituate, MA.90 Born say 1645. Buried in 1719 in Rehoboth, MA.

Thomas “succeeded to Theophilus Witherell’s residence by purchase, west of Dead swamp, (now [1831] Lot Litchfield’s).”56

5072. Bathsheba Whiston. Born ca 1660 in Scituate, MA. Bathsheba was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 1 Jul 1660.73 Bathsheba died aft Mar 1740/1.

ca 1682 Bathsheba married Eleazer Dunham (13426) , son of Joseph Dunham (ca 1631-ca 1703) & Mercy Morton (4885) (say 1639-19 Feb 1666).18 Born ca 1659 in Plymouth, MA. Eleazer died aft 17 Mar 1719/20.
