On 1 Dec 1727 Thomas was chosen Surveyor of Highways.

3054. Samuel Maxwell. Born on 12 May 1686 in Boston, MA. Samuel died bef Sep 1688 in Boston, MA.

3055. Rev. Samuel Maxwell. Born on 30 Sep 1688 in Boston, MA. Samuel died in Rehoboth, MA, on 5 May 1778; he was 89.

Samuel was ordained a Baptist minister in Swansea, MA 18 Apr 1733. Later he was the Baptist minister in Rehoboth, and after that in Warren, RI.

On 6 Apr 1711 when Samuel was 22, he first married Seferana Treadway (9083) , daughter of Josiah Treadway (3252) (7 May 1652-15 Jan 1731/2) & Sarah Sweetman (2 May 1654-5 Mar 1696/7), in Charlestown, MA. Born on 12 Aug 1692 in Watertown, MA. Seferana died in Boston, MA, on 18 Apr 1712; she was 19. Buried in Granary Burying, Boston.

Seferana was probably named after her grandmother Sufferance (Haynes) Treadway.
